pictures - technical info   Fri, 24 Apr 2009 02:44:38 GMT
The widget that allows meeting administrators to upload photographs of their meeting has been upgraded. It now allows you to upload any photo that you have taken directly from your camera with no restrictions on the size or resolution.

It will then automatically re-compress the image for the web, so that it downloads swiftly and looks barely any different from the original.
Now, you don't need to worry about resizing or re-compressing the image manually before you upload. Just snap away and upload them to your meeting gallery.

Please bear in mind that if you try to upload a gigantic photo from your 12 megapixel camera, it still will take a long time to upload the file initially, as this fix does not increase your internet connection bandwidth.

The following is a post showing all the different types of message formatting that are available to West Kent Quakers Friends with the use of the forum formatting codes (BBCode).
All of these effects are easy to add.

Here is a quote!

Code:
//Here is some text
//Formatted like it is code

if (this.Code == rendered.Properly())
{
return "Woo";
}

Here is the smiley gang.

Experiment and play with the codes, and you'll soon be able to format your messages any way that you'd like.

Here we go!

The bar at the top of your message posting area is a new addition to the site. It's a fully integrated simple text editor for your new BBcode. It'll allow people to format their text as if they were using something aimed about in the middle between the really basic HTML and Microsoft Word.

You can still enter in all the BBcode manually if you'd like, but now there's a really fast and easy way to insert smileys and format your scribbling.

Edit: It now works in all browsers!

It should all just work intuitively. If something seems broken, please let me know.
